Rabin Medical Center (RMC), comprised of both Beilinson and Hasharon Hospitals, is one of the most prominent and largest medical facilities in Israel. The Integrative Medicine Unit, headed by Dr. Ofer Caspi (site PI on this project), works simultaneously with the multi-disciplinary team of specialists at the Davidoff Center for cancer treatment offers many different types of complementary therapies including acupuncture sessions supplemented by the use of Chinese herbs, shiatsu and reflexology, mind-body therapies such as hypnosis and interactive guided imagery, naturopathic medicine, consultations and group therapies such as Yoga, Pilates , Tai-Chi, and Feldenkrais.
The Felsenstein Medical Research Center (FMRC), situated on the hospital campus of Rabin Medical Center, is affiliated to the Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine, is one of the largest and most distinguished academic medical institutions in Israel. The various departments combine the practice of clinical medicine at the highest level together with a broad range of clinical and basic research has 50 modern, fully equipped research laboratories offering a unique opportunity for conducting basic research with direct clinical applications.
Ziv Medical Center, for the past hundred years, Ziv Medical Center has provided medical services to the residents of the north, as well as local and foreign tourists, Israel Defense Forces and United Nations soldiers serving in the region. In recent years, Ziv Medical Center has also provided life-saving humanitarian treatment to casualties of the civil war raging in Syria.
Ziv Medical Center is affiliated with Bar Ilan University's faculty of medicine. Five buildings comprise the school’s 4,420 square-meter state-of-the-art Research Center, where researchers have access to the most advanced instrumentation and to optimal laboratory conditions. The center is equipped with a wide range of novel bio-technological research equipment and provides services in various fields, including live imaging and confocal microscopy, histology, flow cytometry and cell sorting, spectral measurements, centrifugation, chromatography, gel documentation, proteomics, real-time PCR and sequencing, as well as analytical services.
Assuta Medical Centers is a private chain of medical centers owned by Maccabi Healthcare. It includes four hospitals: Tel Aviv-Ramat HaChayal, Rishon LeZion, Haifa and Beersheba , and three medical centers with operating rooms and outpatient care in Ashdod, Tel Aviv HaShalom, and Raanana. A public hospital is currently being constructed by Assuta with joint funding with the State, for the benefit of the residents Ashdod and the surrounding area.
